Stewing on things = Unhealthy

If you are like me, and I pray you’re not, I stew on things that upset or hurt me. I’ve gotten better over time, but sometime I can become so worked up over situations I can’t even sleep, or I’ll find myself constantly thinking about the situation no matter what else I’m doing.

This formula has proven to be helpful; it has proven to better than elastics on the wrist to snap if your mind wonders or even wine. This formula has less calories and you don’t wake up with a headache.

If you are prone to feeling overwhelmed, keep this formula within your sight.
1. Change your physiology (e.g., if you are sitting, stand up, or vice versa).
2. Take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are in command of your thoughts.
3. Know that all great accomplishments happen one step at a time. Tell yourself, “I know what to do next!” (Even if you think you don’t.)
4. Take action. Put your whole self into that task – no distractions allowed!
5. If overwhelming thoughts return, replace them with, “What really needs to get done, gets done.” (Or insert your own phrase that will cause you to feel calm and confident.)

These steps work but only if you apply them. Smile!
